Gibson Energy Supports Moose Hide Campaign

,

On Moose Hide Campaign Day, recognized on May 11 every year, people across Canada wear a small piece of moose hide, as a symbol of their commitment to honour, respect and protect the women and children in their lives, speak out against gender-based domestic violence and to show solidarity with Indigenous communities.

Gibson Energy’s support for the Moose Hide Campaign is a way for experiential learning and reconciliation. Participating in the campaign is a practical way for individuals and their organization to take action on the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada Calls to Action and the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls Calls for Justice.

Read about the history behind Moose Hide Campaign Day and Gibson Energy’s commitment to supporting it.
